Position:-UI/ UX Designer/Developer
Location:-Boston, MA

Duration:-6 Months contract

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

7-8 years Designer or Developer UI UX - experience

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science

 

Summary:

The UI Designer analyzes, develops, and designs software for the organization's products and systems.

The UI Designer will actively participate in the development of the software, validation and testing, end-user documentation, solution integration, and deployment.

The UI Designer will prepare and present wire frames to demonstrate the intended UI which will be used to get confirmation from the customer and used as the primary source for developers and testers.

The UI Designer is responsible for ensuring that the UI is consistent, user friendly and meets the customer requirements.

In addition, the UI must be performant and testable.

The UI Designer is also responsible for contributing to the UI technology choices implementation architecture.

 

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

•         5+ years front-end development experience hand-coding HTML, JavaScript, CSS.

•         Experience coding with Sencha Ext JS, JQuery, JQuery UI. HTML5

•         Attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and proactive communication skills.

•         A proven ability to develop cross-browser compatible, highly interactive web pages according to pixel perfect mockups and detailed interaction requirements.

•         A good design sense and a strong desire to collaborate with designers to create outstanding experiences.

•         The fortitude to help establish a UI development team in an organization that does not have experience working with UI designers and developers.

•         Continuous drive to try new approaches/technologies/processes to improve the user experience as well as the working environment.

•         Experience working in a successful agile development environment.

•         Strong inter-personal skills, both written and verbal, are a must. Candidate must be able to interact professionally with customers and company personnel at both a technical and a management level.

Candidate must be able to write clearly and concisely for both a technical and a non-technical audience, including customers whose primary language may not be English.

 

Preferred:

•         Experience with IP video delivery and management.

•         HTML5
