Job Description: 5+ years experience. Java, C++, or C#, Possibly Team Lead experience. Application development from start to finish. Consistent Full Life Cycle projects. Some Financials, Long Term assignments, Previous experience designing and developing investment banking applications, most likely in Foreign Exchange, Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities, Prime brokerage - any other niche products. May also assume some architecture duties, including the development and maintenance of business and system architectures. May conduct complex technology and system assessments. Supports and advises internal clients and technical management. Work with designers toward the most efficient implementation in meeting their visual and interactive designs Document low-level design of each page container and style. Design AJAX and other Web 2.0 interface solutions, based on UX artifacts Write the code ensuring W3C complaints and adherence to our BAC UI and ADA standards Test the code ensuring the minimum number of defects during formal test Repair defects Conduct all of the above independently and with large teams, depending on the size of a project This is a fast-paced- IT environment. You will work on the highest-hit financial web pages on earth. We seek the best talent, and the fortitude to work in a demanding eCommerce environment. You must bring coding experience and innovation to the table. Web designers need not apply unless they also meet all requirements listed above. (We build the pages, we do not design them.) The incumbent may work in a waterfall or an Agile environment, on-site during the core working hours. Skills / Qualifications: 7+ years experience coding XHTML, CSS and Javascript 3+ years coding with the JQuery library 5+ years working in a corporate IT environment with software tools used for design, build, test and debug Study and hands-on development in HTML5 and CSS3 Experience writing AJAX Expert in user interface development, engineering pixel-perfect cross browser compliant code Writes high-quality, semantically perfect, testable, maintainable, and well-documented code Knowledge of web accessibility and requisite coding standards; screen readers and keyboard focus Enterprise exposure in defect resolution up and down UI ~ from the http header to AJAX failures and OS/browser anomalies Experience with banking or financial online applications and/or high traffic eCommerce websites Clear communication. Design documentation, cross-team communication and user experience reviews require spot-on written and verbal communications.
