Job Description:
The business areas where the support activities will be carried out are:
• Sales and Marketing: These applications contain the sales information for Client’s Hospital Product division over the period of past twelve months. It helps in organizing the sales force into areas, territory, divisions and evaluates their performance w.r.t to the targets.
• Contract Management and government reports: These applications help in maintaining the contracts with various groups which sell/buy Client’s products. These ranges from wholesalers, distributors to buyers like Hospitals.
• Device tracking (INET): These applications are used in various stages of the device manufacturing and assembling process. Most of these applications are developed based on VB and Oracle Technology.
• Quality, Finance, Purchasing & Admin: These applications are used to maintain the artifacts involved for submission to regulatory agencies. The finance apps facilitate the finance department to track and report the headcount, finance related aspects with respect to the plan. The apps involved in purchasing and Admin, business area support the Purchasing related activities for carrying out the business.
• Manufacturing, R&D, HR, Customer Care: These apps facilitate research and development activities carried out for product development and aid in the manufacturing process for Client.
Details of duties to be performed:
- Conduct a study of the current SAP-FICO set of application and Client’s customer specific business rules and practices, user requirements and preparing specifications in the area of integrated order management.
- Report any functional gaps in existing applications and suggest business process improvements.
- Evaluate products for Enterprise application integration(EAI)
- Test plan preparation, Review of test plans, unit & integration testing.
- Work with the on-site technical lead and off-shore team for functional enhancements & application interface development and delivery
- Carry out Support and Operational Maintenance activities as and when needed to keep the System up and running.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of functional and Technical experience in SAP–FICO and SAP R/3 ERP applications other leading-edge products and technology in conjunction with industry and business skills to deliver solutions to customer.
- Translate other customer requirements into formal requirements and design documents, establish specific solutions, and leading the efforts including Functional, Technical Specification and testing plan that culminate in client acceptance of the results.
In general, the consultant will be responsible for writing technical specifications, coding, debugging and testing, analyze the adequacy and applicability of the output. If necessary, he/she will provide modifications to ultimately ensure functionality and sustainability of the product.
