Position:  VB Net PL SQL Developer  - - # 545

Location: - Albany, NY

Duration: - - 24 Months


 

Job Description:

 

Support Psychiatric Services Clinical Knowledge Enhancement System (PSYCKES) application using SAS, PL/SQL and various other programming tools.

 

Daily Tasks include nut not limited to the following:

Maintain and enhance the existing PSYCKES applications:

1. Review business requirement documents developed by the Implementation/Data Analysis teams. Refine requirements and understanding of them through participation in User Story meetings and Joint Application Design sessions (JAD). Design screen mock-ups when needed and obtain Business Partner buy-in.

2. Design logic model to implement assigned requirements in PSYCKES applications, particularly our clinical decision support engine. Code this logic in appropriate packages and scripts, and fully comment solutions in code and assorted Team tracking documents, using VB.Net, ASP.Net, Web Services and testing modules and components.

3. Write complex stored procedures/triggers for Oracle databases in PL/SQL using TOAD.

4. Test code locally and check-in to appropriate environments for deployment. Review issues reported during quality assurance testing on DEV/QA platforms, fix and re-deploy/test appropriately.

5. Participate in daily SCRUM meeting and support the AGILE methodology used by OMH for our system development life cycle.

6. Optimize the display of large Medicaid datasets and OMH inpatient facilities data and perform stress/load testing.

7. Develop localization enhancements when required (multilingual screens/voice-overs).

8. Facilitate knowledge transfer between Technical Staff and Implementation Staff – including writing release notes and assisting them in problem ticket resolution.

 

Candidates should have at least 84 months experience, and at least one of the following should apply:

 

  • Demonstrated work experience with Microsoft .Net application development software using Visual Studio and coding in Visual Basic.Net.
  • Demonstrated work experience using PL/SQL and SQL to develop Oracle packages, triggers, stored procedures, functions, scripts and cursors.
  • Demonstrated work experience using 3rd party UI controls, preferably Infragistics and Dundas.
  • Demonstrated work experience designing security protocols using LDAP and Oracle Fine Grain Access (FGA) with ASP.Net applications to protect patient health information.
  • Demonstrated work experience with Health Care data such as Medicaid, Pharmacy, and HIPPA Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Demonstrated work experience with Decision Support Engine(s).
  • Demonstrated work experience using the AGILE framework with SCRUM methodology.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
