Duties and Responsibilities

•Develop custom applications for ArcGIS (Desktop and Server):Identify requirements,develop use cases,develop conceptual data models;block diagrams and logic flow charts;design and build the software components;test,debug,and refine the computer software to produce the required product; prepare required documentation, including both program-level, user-level and training documentation; enhance software to reduce operating time and/or improve efficiency. 

•Assist and resolve day-to-day issues for GIS users 

•Attend various meetings and workshops 

•Maintains documentation, online and hard copy as required.

•Establishes positive working relationships with the management and staff.

•Other duties may be required and assigned.

Experience: 

•A minimum of 5 year programming experience in .NET and/or Java with at least 2 years programming with ESRI ADFs (ArcObjects, ArcGIS APIs for web development).

•Experience with Mobile Applications preferably using ArcGIS Mobile for Windows Mobile

•Experience working with ArcGIS Server Enterprise;

•Experience in developing database driven applications utilizing Oracle database platform;

•Experience in working with clients to define and document application requirements

•Industry knowledge in water/wastewater utility environments considered a plus

Knowledge and Abilities: 

•Database programming skills 

•Ability to work with minimal supervision

•Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio 

•Proactive and comprehensive troubleshooting and problem solving skills; 

•Self-motivated learner who continually keeps up to date with new technology;

•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with a diverse group of people;

•Written and verbal English language proficiency

Education

•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Geography,Engineering, or related field
