Requirement-1
Functional Title: UI Automation Engineer
Length: 6 months
Location: Austin, TX/ Location options Westlake, TX , Lone Tree ,CO
Job Description:
Key Skills Needed:
• Someone who is familiar with UI testing using Selenium, Gherkin & BDD framework, ability to go into the search field using the – "find the text" & "navigate the page". Experience building automation scripts for the UI portion specifically.
• Experience in performance API integration / testing API performance / UI performance.
• Salesforce is preferred
o Must have: SELENIUM – GERKIN – OOP (java background)
• Provide accountability for testing and quality assurance for mission critical enterprise applications • Drive a continuous improvement mentality to deliver robust performance testing strategies and methods • Promote excellent development practices for coded test frameworks, to include participating in code reviews and source control management • Coordinate End-to-End testing across different product and domain teams • Design test automation for Salesforce UI, web services, APIs • Partner with development and other team members, provide technical guidance and work closely with offshore QA teams to create agile test automation solutions, accelerating Schwab's SDLC processes and meeting critical business objectives. • Maintain tools used in during test development including source control, test management and release systems • Mentor peers and staff on test engineering for QA, network with other automation teams within Schwab and derive automation best practices for continuous improvement. • Experience working with resources in different geographical locations and offshore vendors
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field • 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance • 4+ years of hands on testing experience in Salesforce platforms • Understanding of QA practices (black box testing, risk based testing, system testing, regression testing, exploratory testing practices) • Strong technical competency in an OOP language such as C#.NET/Java or an expert in test automation tools preferably in a Java/Maven environment and the Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Zephyr, Confluence), Selenium or other industry leading tool sets • Team player with excellent communication skills (oral and written) to partner technically with Application Architects, Development, QA/Testing organizations and Business teams • Working knowledge of Agile, Iterative development process and methodologies is essential • Passion for building solutions through automation, driven by innovation and commitment to lifelong learning • Strong problem-solving skills including ability to disseminate complex ideas in a simplified fashion • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment • Hands on experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins/Bamboo/GIT etc) is preferred • Acceptance test-driven development (ATDD) or Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Gherkin languages like Cucumber is a plus • 2+ years of experience with Service Oriented Architecture Quality Assurance, and thorough knowledge of testing API orchestration layers and Real-Time Messaging interfaces such as RabbitMQ is a plus • Exposure to a regulatory environment (like Banking & Finance or Health care etc.) is a plus • Experience in developing or influencing the development of automated framework(s) for enterprise level functional and regression testing is preferable
