Quality Assurance Specialist

Columbus, Ohio (Candidate must be on-site from day one)

This is a 3 month contract

Rate is $50/C2C

Visa: GC/ citizen

- Experienced tester with knowledge in Medicaid and SNAP/TANF benefits and skills in writing and executing test scripts
- Working knowledge of test management software 
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is required

 

Responsibilities

• Preferred candidate will have knowledge on Medicaid and SNAP/TANF Eligibility Systems and Policy;
•  Preferred candidate will have experience testing the eligibility Rules related to Medicaid and SNAP/TANF;
•  Preferred candidate will adhere to formal QA processes, ensuring that the Systems
• Implementation [SI] team is using industry-accepted best practices;
•  Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing and reporting on metric applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met;
• Create, execute and provide feedback on manual and automation test cases, scripts, plans and procedures;
•  Preferred candidate will possess technical knowledge to create and execute test scripts using Selenium;
•  Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing test services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally;
•  Diagnose defects and track them from discovery to resolution;
•  Ensure that the SI maintains high quality and accuracy up to software release;
•  Ensure all testing work is carried out in accordance with the Test Plan, including schedule and quality requirements;
•  Provide feedback to the SI on the implications of testing outcomes;
•  Respond to all requests from stakeholders in a timely professional manner

Requirements:

• Preferred candidate will have Experience with HHS Eligibility Systems and Policy: 7 + years
• Experienced tester with knowledge in Medicaid and SNAP/TANF benefits and skills in writing and executing test scripts: 7+ years
• Adhere to formal QA processes, ensuring that the Systems Implementation [SI] team is using industry-accepted best practices: 7+ years
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience
• Working knowledge of test management software
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is required.
• Excellent communication skills
• During the interview process with the Ohio Benefits staff, the resource consultant must demonstrate competence/experience in their specific area(s) of project assignment.
• The resource's experience must also be documented for review and verification.
• Offered resources not showing technical or functional competence/experience will be sufficient reason to reject the Offeror's proposal. 
• It is the responsibility of the Offeror to pre-screen their candidates to ensure compliance.
