Job Title: UAT Analyst

Location: Austin, TX

 

The User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Analyst is an Information Technology (IT) position and will provide business analysis and testing skills for the release of enhancements to the Childcare Licensing Automated Support System (CLASS). Project scope includes supporting accuracy and functionality of system development across the organization by coordinating UAT and post-production validation of development projects and releases. The UAT Analyst will plan, monitor, and control testing activities and tasks.

This position will also be responsible for facilitating regression testing and may assist business users with testing customizations. Works closely with Operations, Application Development, and IT QA to ensure development and testing efforts are completed and meet all outlined requirements in the implemented solution.

The UAT Analyst will also work with the project team to ensure the test environment is put into place before test execution, and managed during test execution. This position will schedule tests for execution, then monitor, measure, control, and report on the test progress, the product quality status, and the test results. They will also coordinate issues resolution and make recommendations for quality assurance process improvements.

The project is expected to produce several deployments within fiscal years 2022 through 2023.

6	Required	Ability to quickly understand key business requirements and workflows and ensure test cases reflect all business scenarios.
6	Required	Possess strong verbal and written skills in communicating with peers and different levels of users.
6	Required	Experience in documenting requirements and facilitating design and testing.
6	Required	Translate technical jargon into user-friendly information.
6	Required	Facilitate UAT process by reviewing test requirements, assessing business impacts of the system development, coordinating testing teams and assisting in developing and reviewing test scripts to ensure users conduct thorough testing.
6	Required	Host UAT planning sessions, develop end-to-end test plan, test approach, and obtain test plan signoff from stakeholders.
6	Required	Manage test execution, provide metrics reporting of testing progress, manage review sessions with relevant stakeholders, and support issue resolution for closure.
6	Required	Prepare go/no-go release materials to obtain a decision for the release and participate in the go/no-go calls, prepare exit report as well as lessons learned and communicate with the respective teams for improvements.
4	Preferred	Experience as a QA/UAT Lead in the information technology field.
4	Preferred	Relevant experience managing distributed test teams and dealing with senior business stakeholders.
4	Preferred	Hands-on experience in all aspects of QA testing in a large-scale shared data and technology environment with multiple stakeholders.
4	Preferred	Hands-on experience with one/more of the following or similar tools: Application Lifecycle management (ALM); data platforms - Oracle, SQL Server; regulatory reporting tools.
4	Preferred	Skilled in the use of Jira for tracking agile projects.
4	Preferred	Skilled in using online test management tools (i.e., Zephyr, Test Rail or similar testing tools).

QA Automation Engineer

Austin, TX Remote, but need local candidates only)

 

The Tester will perform testing activities related to the modernization of unemployment insurance (UI) legacy systems.

Responsibilities:

·        Perform user acceptance, performance, accessibility, interface, and data conversion testing.

·        Review, update and create test suites and scripts.

·        Identify and create test data.

·        Document and report test results and problem incident reports (PIRs)/defect status.

·        Assist TWC Project Manager and Test Manager in developing and executing the user acceptance testing (UAT) Test Plan.

·        Coordinate scheduling of testing staff, test activities, and meetings.

·        Perform related work as assigned.

 

Worker Skills and Qualifications:

Worker should be qualified to serve as a "QA Engineer Automated, Level 2" under the DIR IT Staff Augmentation Contract guidelines.
