Business Systems Analyst

100% Remote, but must be located in Austin, TX

12 Months Contract

 

(Preference will be given to the best candidate who meets the skills requirements at the best rate.)

Overview:
As a Business Systems Analyst (Agile/Scrum), the candidate will be responsible to define quality, detailed user stories and supporting artifacts that enable the Development team to deliver working product and that are aligned to business objectives. The BSA must be able to communicate between business and IT in understanding the business's needs and translating them to actionable stories, supporting logical designs/data mapping and integrations.

 

Position Requirements:

·      Work directly with clients to understand the individual needs of the business

·      Responsible for eliciting, documenting, and refining, detailed business requirements in the form of user stories

·      Requirement Elicitation & User Story Management in JIRA

·      Create supporting requirements artifacts deliverables such as business process flows, system interaction diagrams, data mapping/ ERDs, to meet development and stakeholder needs

·      Responsible for complete and clear acceptance criteria

·      Create test case creation related to stories as a part of backlog grooming to ensure the delivered solution meets the stated requirements

·      Create and present reports to executive team members and shareholders to support recommendations

·      Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement

·      Improve training and operational procedures to increase efficiency and productivity

·      Responsible for doing all the work to take backlog items to be done within a sprint and play multiples roles as needed-

·      As a Proxy Product Owner

·      As a Connector to the Business

·      As the Glue that holds Multiple Teams together

 

Preferred Credentials and Experience:

·      Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Business System Analyst in an agile project-based environment. Proficient with user stories and agile ceremonies, principles and frameworks.

·      Experienced with data analysis and mapping for system integration and API development support

·      Experienced with system/ Non-functional requirements analysis, and Vendor integration support.

·      Understanding of various types of software architecture: Cloud, web-based applications, web services, data schemas, Mainframe in order to support the delivery of user stories through solution suite
