Position: Solution Architect

Location: Remote

 

The solution architect will be the primary person reasonable for the following deliverables:

·        Conceptual model

·        Gap analysis report

·        Reference target architecture

·        Accelerator mapping

·        Year over year wave-based migration plan

·        Projected multi-year investment requirements

·        Initial modern data governance framework

·        Pilot Migration Plan

 

They will also be expected to provide input on the following deliverables:

·        Project plan for this engagement

·        RACI matrix

·        Risk Registry

·        Lessons learned report

·        Use case to data domain matrix

 

Must have skills:

·        8+ years hands on experience conducting requirements gathering workshops and working with the business to understand their needs. Must be able and translate business requirement into technical system design.

·        8+ years designing and implementing enterprise data warehouse/lake. At least 3 of the 8 should be cloud based data warehouses/lakes

·        8+ years designing ETL/ELT processes. At least 3 in the cloud.

·        10+ years writing SQL queries

·        10+ years hands on experience building or maintaining ETL processes

·        10+ years hands on experience building or maintaining reports/dashboards

·        5+ years hands on experience developing strategic roadmaps for data & analytics

·        Strong understanding of the following data modelling techniques;  Dimensional,  3rd Normal Form, Data Vault 1 and 2,  Kimball vs Inmon, Denormalized (i.e. large wide tables).    They need to know the pros/cons of each and understand how they are implemented.

·        Strong understanding of cloud concepts. IaaS vs PaaS vs SaaS etc. Ideally familiar with AWS and Azure.

·        Strong understanding of the components of modern data stack including data virtualization

·        Strong understanding of data governance and different operating models (centralized, federated, hybrid)  to support modern data analytics

 

Nice to have skills:

·        Denodo experience

·        Snowflake and/or Azure Synapse and/or AWS Redshift experience

·        Project and/or Program management experience

·        Experience developing a data governance framework

·        Experience with evaluating and selecting different technology products

·        Experience working in the health industry, ideally payer and provider.
