JOB RESPONSIBILITES :
Sr. Security Operations Analyst will be responsible to perform tasks to implement, administer and support Enterprise Security Tools. Participate in Security Monitoring and Reporting. Engage in Security Incident response and drive to closure. To be able to provide technical analysis and act as an escalation point on the matters related to traffic analysis & security monitoring & management.
· Perform Scheduled / Ad hoc tasks for Security Vulnerability Scanning & Reporting
· Serve as subject matter expert for assigned tool(s) during hours of operation.
· Perform rotational on call duties providing 24/7 support on a scheduled basis.
· Exhibit capability to Monitor & Analyze Security Alerts & Events
· Ability to manage & administer Enterprise Security Monitoring Tools
· Experience in any of the tools like RSA envision, Log Logic, netForensics
· Experience in Security Infrastructure(Firewall, IDS) Administration is a plus
· Ability to perform analysis on unstructured logs and identify anomalies
· Any experience in tools such as nMap, QualysGuard, GFI Languard is a plus
· Participate and Contribute in Security Incident Response Team activities
· Develop innovative ways to permanently resolve existing or potential problems
· Possess ability to think laterally and solve problems with incomplete or inaccurate information
· Escalate hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service
· Support consists of receiving, logging, and troubleshooting all system issues through resolution
· Support IT goals, objectives and Service Level Agreement are met on a consistent basis
· Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
· Monitors open tickets for consistency, accuracy and completion
SKILLS REQUIRED
Technical Competencies:
· Knowledge of the following tools
· RSA envision / ArcSight / other enterprise SIEM tools
· McAfee ePO Suite of Products
· Cisco / Juniper Firewall or similar Network Security devices
· McAfee IPS or similar IPS Systems
· CA Service Desk Manager 12.5
· Knowledge Management Tools
Mandatory Skills
· Knowledge of the following tools in the Security Information Management
· RSA envision
· Intermediat knowledge on Windows/Unix/Linux Operating System, Networking Concepts and Database Management Systems (Oracle/MS SQL Server)
Additional skills
· Knowledge on ITIL v3. Certification is an added advantage.
· Knowledge on any scripting language in the Unix/Windows environment.
· Experience supporting 24X7 mission-critical production applications and databases
· This position will require an individual who can work both individually and within a group.
· Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills are required.
· Work effectively in a high pressure environment
· Ability to prioritize own activities so that all tasks are completed in a timely manner
