Job Description:

Systems Analyst - 3 End Date:  4/08/2015 Technical Analyst: The primary function of this position is to lead the complex technical and infrastructure aspects of the statewide student information system project for the Department of Public Instruction. Under the supervision of the Division Administrator, and in coordination with the project manager and team, this position is responsible for leading technical implementation of the SSIS technologies This position is also responsible for following standard project management procedures, coordinating the efficient use of technical resources, and employing effective planning and communication techniques during the course of project leadership. This position interprets and implements this statewide strategic information technology architecture in relation to the existing architectures within school district wide-area and local-are networks. The position also interprets the relationship between the SSIS architecture and others managed by the Department including the data warehouse environment. Work is performed independently and this position exercises broad discretion. This position is responsible for establishing objectives, schedules, and detailed Project Plans for major information systems. This position will assist in coordinating the work of task forces and committees, which may be composed of data processing and customer personnel from school districts and agency staff.
