Descripion:

We are looking for a stong ETL Developer to support a Data Mart project we were just awarded with a Federal agency. The project will be in an office in Herndon, VA.


Duties and Responsibilities:
· Strong development skills with the ability to adapt to challenges/changes related directly to extract, transform, and load processing.
· Work effectively with internal business and technical stakeholders including ability to present technical solutions while showing a strong understanding of business activities and objectives.
· ETL development including creation of data mappings and workflows, jobs scheduling, maintenance and enhancement of custom ETL code
· Create system documentation including, but not limited to, source to target data mapping, database design diagrams, programming specifications, etc
· Provide technical support for the data mart, including the development of enhancement requests and defect resolution
· Space planning and tracking to ensure that space needs are addressed well in advance

Minimum Qualifications:

· 5 years or more experience in Data Stage 7 or 8.1

· Experience with Oracle (9i, 10g or 11g)

· Ability to write Unix Shell scripts and complex SQL queries

Desired/Preferred Skills:

· Data warehousing conceptualization, such as data modeling, data quality, and optimization ideas

· Experience with Entity Relational Models and/or Dimensional Models
